We got Rudy in December at 4 months old. He lived on a farm and his only interaction was with the caretaker. Needless to say Rudy was reactive to people and situations. Our son suggested to reach out to Joe and set up a Board & Train. We committed to the 3 week program for Rudy. We have been looking to get Luca into training for a while but never found the right fit. Joe was recommended to us by someone who absolutely sang his praises, and they were definitely right! We knew Joe was the right fit when he took the time out of his day to come and personally meet us and Luca. He made us feel so comfortable about everything and excited about what was to come. Our experience with Joe has been great since we first met him to board and train our Siberian Husky. Joe has been working with him since he was 3 months old. Joe has trained Rambo in a way that has exceeded our expectations! Rambo is now Fully Off Leash Trained! and obeys both simple and complex commands. He has gained great socialization with Joe’s training. He takes him to Home Depot, various stores and socializes him with his own personal well trained German Shepherds…….My big boy is 100 % potty trained now. I can say that for sure!

Joe has taught Rambo not to jump up on my kids when excited. My dog also guards my home very well, but now is able to listen to my commands to stand down when needed. Rambo can also avoid distractions like other dogs, cats, etc if I ask him to with the help of Joes training.

We have a 1 year old German Shepherd and she was in need of desperate training! She was fear aggressive And not good with people at all!! Super reactive,She had absolutely no manners, and was dog aggressive! We discovered Joe through a friend that recommended him highly. When I initially reached out to Joe, I explained to him that two other trainers had no Success unfortunately and we are lost on what to do because she is our baby! Joe Sounded very knowledgeable over the phone and told me he would come by and do an evaluation. When Joe first came, I had the muzzle on her…not even 10 minutes of Joe taking the leash from me and her trying to attack him he had her muzzle off and he was petting her, and she was licking him in the face! Me and my husband could not believe what we were witnessing . Joe knew exactly what she needed and highly recommended a 4 week Board And Train. We couldn’t give up on our girl so we did it and it was the best decision we ever made. Throughout the 4 weeks, Joe sent us updates, videos, and pictures and kept us in the loop during her training. After one week of having her Joe had her playing with all of his personal German shepherds, and she was no longer giving any issues with dogs we couldn’t be happier. When Joe brought her home, she was a completely different dog. She was very confident. She no longer was jumping and pulling on a leash, and she was very obedient and most of all happy! When we reached out to Joe we were desperate for help with our puppy, Lucy. All of the other trainers we’d contacted had chalked it up to typical puppy behavior, but we knew it was more than that. I am the owner of Striper who is now a 6yr old Black Lab. He is a very loving and smart dog, but was in serious need of training. He pulled on the leash, had a hard time obeying commands, and had a very bad obsession with lights and shadows (would bark constantly). Other trainers and their tactics were unsuccessful, but Joe and his staff at Persevere K9 Training were absolutely amazing and successful. My dog Ash met a couple of trainers before boarding at Joe’s house. Ash went to Joe at a horrible moment in our lives at the beginning He went to sleep there just for a couple of nights and came back as a new dog. My dog always came back happy and changed. We were put in touch with Joe through a friend who used him for training. After searching months for a German Shepherd pup, we contacted Joe about his newest liter and went to meet them. Taking the leap to finally get my GSD , Louie , trained by Joe was the best thing to ever happen to us AND Louie . When i first sent Louie to start his board & train with Joe , i was confident that no amount of training could ever fix Louie . Well , Joe proved me 100% incorrect within the first 24 hours of having Louie . He sent me countless videos of Louie’s progress throughout his entire stay . Although Louie was sent to ‘board & train’ he still always managed to keep it fun & gave him so much love & care . Still to this day , when Joe comes by for follow ups , Louie cries when he leaves . We were referred to Joe by a friend. It definitely was a blessing in disguise. When we got Daisy, she was showing signs of aggression. She was a stubborn Pitbull. Daisy went for 2 weeks of training and came back a completely new dog. Joe taught us how to work with her to build her confidence and to stop her bad habits. We continue to work with Joe regularly. I recently worked with Joe again but this time it was to purchase one of his GSD puppies . i went back & forth for a while over whether or not i was going to really take the risk of raising another GSD . Choosing Joey to train our 7 month old puppy Enzo was the best decision we made! Enzo completed an almost 3 week board and train and came back a whole new dog in the best way. Joey was able to help correct our main issues and it has been life changing in our home. One of the biggest things that needed correcting was walking on the leash. Now we are able to walk as a family together at the same pace without fear of him running in other directions or pulling us to the point we are unable to keep up with him. We are so thankful for Joey and how comfortable we felt leaving our boy with him. You can truly see how much he loves and cares for all of the dogs he works with. June is a one year old/pit mix. She means the world to us. We rescued her at 3 months old and when we starting having some troublesome behaviors with her including leash reactivity (initially towards dogs and then towards people), we were at a loss of what to do. We contacted Joe at Persevere K9 Training to come and evaluate her. He suggested that she would be a great candidate for his board and train program. Immediately upon meeting Joe, you can tell how much he loves dogs, how patient he is, and how knowledgeable he is about training them in a way that is unique to your dog and their personality. We knew she would be in great hands. While 2 weeks without our girl was not easy on us, it was the best thing we could have done. While she was away, we got videos and text updates on her progress. I was shocked to see my own previously reactive pup sitting calmly without a leash, while other dogs barked walking by her. While we still have some work to do to continue June’s progress and training, I am fully confident in Joe and his ability to deliver results. The fact that June gets SO excited to see him is a testament to the positive relationship he develops with the dogs he trains. I know we will continue to have a relationship with Joe for the life of June to keep up the strong work :) We cannot recommend him and his team enough! Braxton is a 1 year old pitbull/ lab mix. Before we met Joe if he got out it was at-least 30 minutes to an hour to get him to come back. He would greet all women and children by jumping on them. He was also very shy around men and started getting aggressive with some dogs. We found Joe through a friend and she gave us all positive reviews about the board and train program. After the evaluation we knew the 3-4 week board and train was the right fit for him. Braxton was at the off leash/ aggression program for almost 4 weeks. When he came home his demeanor was completely changed. We are able to take him for walks with no leash on. He is less aggressive towards other dogs and is less shy around men. He doesn’t jump up on anyone when they walk in the door. We are so incredibly happy with the results and will definitely be recommending Joe to anyone looking for a dog trainer.

Before Brody’s 2 week board and train program with Joe, I avoided every and all other dogs when walking down the street, and they avoided us out of fear of Brody pulling, barking, and trying to rip out of his leash. Embarrassingly enough I had even been dragged down by my own dog during situations like this and ended up bruised and cut. I started taking alternative routes to avoid these compromising situations and thought this is what I would have to accept as an owner of a large breed dog. I’ve struggled with Brody’s jumping and over excitement despite multiple efforts, tactics, trainers, and thousands of dollars later. HOWEVER Joe & his company have proved me so so beyond wrong. After Brody came back from his board and train, his whole demeanor changed, he was calm, attentive, and his listening skills improved tremendously. I saw an entirely different side of my dog Brody that I did not even know was possible. While Brody was away, Joe sent me pictures, videos, and updates of Brody and his success including taking him to different places and environments for exposure . I felt entirely assured with Brody under his care and truly knew my dog was in good hands with him. Not only is Joe is an incredibly intelligent dog trainer with an abundance of knowledge and experience, but he is also a kind human whose passion for dogs radiates and translates into the work he does for these dogs. We had inquired with Joe to train our rescue dog Ewok. We were in over our heads with our little guy as he had quite a few issues with aggression, social issues, trust, poor habits. Joe was a pleasure to meet with and within the first 5 minutes we felt trusting and comfortable with him. Joe was recommended to us by friends soon after we welcomed our third Great Dane home. We set up an appointment for an initial assessment with Joe, which he conducted at our home. He took the time to meet with all three of our dogs even though we were specifically interested in board and train for our newest addition, Goose.

Goose completed his board and train course and Joe spent extra time with us to ensure that we were comfortable with his commands and using his e-collar. After the training was completed, Joe conducted several mini-sessions at our home to help ensure that we were able to maintain Goose’s training, and with Joe’s support, we have been very successful.

We continued the conversation with Joe because we were concerned about our three year old Great Dane who suffered from anxiety, especially around new people. Joe was willing to take on our nervous pup who had been refused by other trainers. After a six week board and train, our boy came home with much more confidence. Prior to his training with Joe and his team, we were very nervous having guests over or taking him out in public. But after training, we understand the cues we can pick up to indicate nervousness in our boy, and we understand how to keep our dog safe and secure.

We love that Joe and his team are also able to care for our three Danes while we are traveling. With three giant breed dogs, we understand this is not a simple undertaking - and many boarding options are not open to us because of our dogs’ size. While we don’t like to be away from our puppies, we know they are well cared for in our absence.

Mogwai my 8 year old Australian Shepherd was never able to see another dog without having a reaction let alone walk next to one. He also did not like strangers especially people coming to the house that he doesn’t know. I would have to crate him or bring him to my mothers house every time I had people over my house. I came across joes instagram, and decided my dog deserves better and I want him to be able to do more things in public. I called joe, and he showed up for the evaluation. I knew joe was the correct person for the task, because my dog for some reason had no reaction to him, no jumping, nipping or barking at him. I can tell he would be in good hands. I dropped my dog off to joes house for 2 full weeks which was hard for me not having my dog for two weeks but the whole time I received updates with videos and pictures. Fast forward to getting my dog back. It was like a new dog. I did follow up sessions with joe, and he showed me how to do all the continuation of mogwais training. Joe not only trained my dog but he trained me as well with how to train my dog and handle situations. I can now proudly say my dog can meet strangers, go to pet stores with dogs around, Home Depot, and parks with no issues. My dog can have a dog barking at him and he has no reaction. I have sent joe multiple friends and they all had the same result. If you’re looking for someone who you can trust with your animal and someone who puts animals first in his life then joe is the guy.

Joe was a blessing. My Labrador was impossible to walk without him pulling me to the ground. It got to the point I was insecure giving him a walk. My visitors were greeted by a jumping 90 pound pup. I was terrified he was going to hurt someone. Adult labs are known to be mellow Not pups! Joe transformed my beautiful dog. I can’t thank Joe enough for what he has done for our family. When we had Joe come in for an evaluation, I would say it was the best decision that we made for our dog. We have currently a one year old chocolate lab male, who prior to training was jumping constantly, not listening, pulling on the leash, and just not responding well to commands. We had Joe come to our house for one on one sessions with our dog and he was so welcoming and so great with our dog, that we left our dog with him for a weekend while we went away. Joe is very trustworthy and reliable when it comes to making sure that your pets safety comes first. I know for the future that I can always count on Joe if we need a dog sitter, Trainer, literally anything that would relate to my dog. Our lab now after 15 sessions with Joe can do some off leash, walking, responds to commands and his name, works well with other dogs which was an issue that we were having. Not only was Joe very honest from the beginning on what to expect with one on one dog training, but also what that meant for us as owners. He always made sure to tell us what to work on after each session until we had him come again. We would definitely use Joe again in the future when or if we get another dog and I would 100% recommend him and his employees for any kind of service that he is offering.

There are no words to describe joe and the care and compassion he has for our 4 legged babies. My 3 girls, Bella, Cece and Missy are very precious to me.
